Kendall Gray is a former professional basketball player, NBA G League coach, children’s book author and motivational speaker. Dedicated to inspiring the next generation through resilience, creativity, and real life experiences.
A native of Dover, Delaware, Gray starred at Delaware State University, where he made history during the 2014–2015 season by earning both MEAC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors. Following college, he built a 10-year professional basketball career, playing internationally in countries such as Germany, Poland, across Africa, and the Dominican Republic, while also competing in the NBA G League. His journey across cultures helped shape his global perspective and reinforced a powerful belief perseverance translates in every language.
Today, Kendall Gray has transitioned his passion into purpose. He is the author of the multilingual children’s book I Can’t Quit (ICQ) a growing brand and movement focused on teaching resilience, confidence, and self-belief to youth around the world. Through school assemblies, workshops, and live events, Gray combines storytelling, education, and high energy engagement to impact students both in and out of the classroom.
He is also the creator of Gray’s Universe, an interactive character experience that brings his message to life through animation, humor, and audience participation connecting with students.
Now based in Las Vegas, Kendall continues to expand his reach through youth programs, speaking engagements, and community partnerships, with a mission to remind every student:
