Originally from Le Havre, France, Hervé Lecomte began his career as a mathematics teacher. In 2005, he became the director of the La Providence school group in Fécamp and continued to enhance his career by taking on the role of diocesan director of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Le Havre in 2012.
In 2018, he expanded his responsibilities to include the position of Secretary General of the CREC of Catholic Education in Normandy.
Given his openness to others and to different cultures, it was natural and immensely pleasurable for him to accept, in 2021, the new mission of overseeing the PLANET FRATERNITY project, entrusted to him by the Office of International Catholic Education.
In December 2022, he assumed the role of Secretary General of this organization, representing the voices of over 68 million students and their families from more than 210,000 schools in various international institutions, including the UN, UNESCO, and the Council of Europe.
