Mike McLean is the Cultural Attache at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires. His first tour in the Foreign Service was in Mexico City and he most recently completed a tour in Kabul; both of which were in the consular section. Mike began his career with the Department of State in the Civil Service as a staff assistant in the front office for the Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP). Originally from upstate NY, Mike holds a B.A. in International Relations, M.S. in Public Relations, and M.A. in International Relations all from Syracuse University. Mike is a proud Rotary Youth Exchange and Boren Fellowship alumnus (both to Brazil). He is joined at Post by his partner Anjoum, a British diplomat, and their dog Nina.
